Free snoring sound

I really thought I would have a tough time finding a genuine high quality snoring sound.
I was wrong. It turns a lot of people wheeze the night away.
They don’t do it every night but its more common than you think.
Obviously when you mention it to them they protest and claim you’re just pulling their leg.

Recording the snoring sound

So I stayed up late the other night looking for my first snoozing victim to deliver the goods. Not surprisingly, my father was the first victim. For years I have listened to him saw logs behind the door. Actually, I can’t complain, my mom is the one sharing the bed with this snorting champion.

Anyway, I got closer with my mic. very close. Bingo! I got a good clear sound with very little noise, since it is more quiet at night. Great signal to noise ratio I might add. One of my best recordings yet. Recording snores seems to be an easy job. All you really need to do is get close enough with the mic to the sound source.

More snore recordings

I was eager to get some more snoring sounds. With no one else to record that night,
I waited for another opportunity to present itself.

When a few of my friends suggested we go camping I jumped with joy. Those “chainsaws” will provide me with enough snuffling to last me a life time.
I set my cell phone to wake me up in the middle of the night, and indeed at 2AM The camp was a racket! Snoozing sounds coming for all over the place. It was really funny. Getting a decent source sound from these guys was easy. They sleep like a log and snort like a chainsaw.

When I went home I edited the material, picked out the really good ones, cleaned up the noise and adjusted the frequencies right.
Working on the snores was hilarious. I couldn’t stop laughing. definitely a funny sounds classic. I will be on the lookout for more, Stay tuned…
