The beep sound has been around for ages. It has been a major sound effect since the beginning of science fiction movies. For some reason it is engraved in our mind that computers make beeps or bleeps. No other sound has been so prominent in portraying the sound of electronics.

I have created a few bleep sounds using a synth software and the result was pretty cool. I also recorded a few of them from various electronic machines I found lying around (I have to admit, it is getting quite difficult to find a good bleep sound, I think it has gone out of style when it comes to home appliances these days).
